Bugsy Malone Live is based on the 1976 hit musical gangster comedy film Bugsy Malone. The film centres around the grit and glamour of 1920’s New York, Chicago and the exploits of real-life gangsters and molls – but the cast were all child actors.

QYT are holding Open Auditions for budding young performers aged between 7 and 25 years on Sunday 8th July at the Hertford Theatre, The Wash, Hertford, SG14 1PS. Doors will open for registration at 10.30am for what will be a fun-packed, exciting day running from 11am to 3.30pm.

The auditionees will take part in workshop style sessions in dancing, singing and acting throughout the course of the day ahead of being cast in principle roles, supporting cast and ensemble.

Successful auditionees will then begin the rehearsal process working with professional creative and production teams, all of whom are experts in their field.

They will rehearse over an intensive week which will run from Monday 20th to Friday 24th August at Presdales School, Hoe Lane, Ware, Hertfordshire, SG12 9NX. Weekly evening rehearsal sessions will then run up until show week. The performances will take place at Hertford Theatre on Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th November.
