Get ready for winter STACC 22Nov2017

St Albans Cycle Campaign is holding a free meeting – Get ready for winter – on Wednesday 22 November 2017.

You can keep cycling throughout the winter if you are prepared for the weather and riding conditions, and make sure your cycle is properly maintained. At the meeting, you will:
• Learn how to maintain a bike and get it ready for winter
• Discover road skills to keep safe in all weathers
• Find out how others keep warm and dry
• Get an update on St Albans Cycle Campaign activities.

The main speaker will be Neil Watts of Addiktion Cycles who will demonstrate the basic skills in looking after cycles and preparing them for bad weather. He will explain how to choose suitable equipment and lights, clothing, food and drink, and give advice on riding techniques in icy or wet conditions.

There will also be an update on the work done over the past few months by St Albans Cycle Campaign to improve conditions for cyclists in the city and district.

The meeting is in Methodist Church Hall, Marlborough Road, St Albans AL1 3XG on Wednesday 22 November, and starts at 7.30pm. Entry is free and all are welcome.
