Free wifi

freewifiWe at stalbanslife firmly believe that all cafes and restaurants should offer free wifi, it costs them next to nothing and allows the more techy amongst us to surf and pick up email.

So please send in additions to this list for us to include via the comments of send an email using the Contact page. Oh and say a big ‘thanks’ to the staff next time you’re in one of these places so they keep it switched on! So, to the best of our knowledge, these places offer free wifi to it’s customers…..

White Hart Tap

Merchant Tea and Coffee Co. (completely open)

The Portland Arms – traditional pub just outside of the centre of town.

Starbucks and the Wetherspoons pubs also have free wifi, at Starbucks you have to have a loyality card to log on. Even so I never managed to connect at any of these locations.

Starbucks wanted £5 last time I went! The Cross Keys connection has always worked fine for me.
