Rennie Grove Hospice Care is launching its annual Light up a Life ceremonies, which take place across Bucks and Herts during November and December. The non-denominational services offer an opportunity for families and friends to come together and reflect on the memories of loved ones in a supportive and peaceful environment. They are open to everyone, not just those touched by hospice care.

As well as – or instead of – attending a ceremony, you can choose to dedicate a light in memory of a loved one as a symbolic way to remember someone special. Your light will shine on one of our Christmas trees and your donation will help other families affected by life-limiting illness. You’ll receive a special dedication card, which you can choose to receive by post or email, and this year, for the first time, there will also be the opportunity to have your dedication listed on our special web page and in our Light up a Life Memory Book, available to view at selected services (marked with * below).

I have been a St. Albans resident for 25 years and run a local business, Verulam Web Design, who created and maintain stalbanslife. I originally moved up this way in 1987 to start a Ph. D. at the then Hatfield Polytechnic and have worked in London or locally ever since. I have 2 children who went to local schools and seemingly a deep need to live in a Roman town. Currently performing as Tom Petty in the tribute band Petty Criminals (https://pettycriminals.com) and in the American classic rock show Take It Easy (https://takeiteasyuk.com).
